Michelle Watson presented "5G Economic and National Security Risks" at the International Security Forum, at the University of Bonn, in Germany, hosted by the Center for International Security and Governance (CISG) and the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies (AICGS), in October during a "Special Focus Day on Cyber Security & AI."


Digitalization and the advances in AI technology challenge traditional approaches to international politics, governance, security and warfare. During the Special Focus Day, distinguished AI and Cyber Security experts, including Michelle, from multiple countries discussed how to address these challenges.

CIP, in partnership with George Mason University-Volgenau School of Engineering, and Water Dragons Consulting (WDC), presented a sold out Cyber Intelligence Workshop. Participants engaged in an experiential training "Cyber Crisis" that incorporated the fundamental concepts and lessons learned. The Keynote Speaker was Admiral Patrick Walsh, USN (Ret), VP Customer Education at FireEye, Inc.  At the culmination of workshop, all participant surveys indicated that they would “definitely attend” a future CIP-GMU-WDC Cyber Intelligence Workshop.
